Meridian Campus (Pre-School – Kindergarten)

Children Love Discovery

For more than two decades, happy children have been thriving in our private, non-denominational Christian school.  The Children’s Hour Academy was created to be an extension of your loving arms and a part of your child’s foundation for life.

Accelerated Academics

Learning is dynamic, not static…based on each child’s learning style. Our classrooms are small enough to create an environment that facilitates optimal learning for these unique individuals. Fully engaged children learn using all their senses, and this builds excitement, opening up unlimited potential. As a result, advanced children are easily accelerated.

Foreign Language, Computer Lab, Music & Sports

Would you like your child to learn Spanish?  And computers?  These are just two of the classes available to our students.  And while other schools are eliminating programs in the arts, our commitment to a fully rounded education remains strong. Children love our music sessions and, in addition to gym classes, can choose to play soccer or yoga.

Children are Priceless

The Children’s Hour Academy makes learning a natural and fun process that involves the mental, physical, spiritual and behavioral processes of every priceless student.

Small Class Sizes

Low teacher/student ratios and small classroom sizes ensure that your child never gets lost in the crowd.  And it gives us the freedom to understand each child’s learning style and personality

Values-Based Education

We teach children that they are unique gifts of God, created for a special purpose.  If they take one lesson from our school and apply it to the good of others, then we have been successful teachers.

Year-Round Program

No worries about summer – our program runs all 12 months, 7am-6pm each day.

Pre-School
(3 - 4 years)
Our preschool program encourages curiosity, promotes play, and fosters self awareness which supports intellectual and social development. Your child will build vocabulary, learn functional numerical skills, and will be encouraged to use simple reasoning to explain everyday occurrences.
Pre-K Program
(4 - 5 years)
Pre-K students learn in the classroom and outdoors through guided lessons and play designed to promote exploration, creativity, and social interaction. This well-rounded program encourages continued skill development in the arts and creative expression and also includes physical fitness and Spanish classes.
Kindergarten
(5 - 6 years)
The Kindergarten year is when children continue to mature socially and emotionally. CHA offers a low student-teacher ratio you won't find in public schools. We promote a standards-based curriculum, personalized assessments and learning plans, and a warm and nurturing learning environment.
Outdoor Play
Our Meridian campus has a large indoor gym, allowing children to exercise and expel their energy rain or shine. The gym features a rock climbing structure, teeter totter, playhouse, balance beam, and lots of trikes and ride-ons. Additionally, we have an outdoor playground equipped with a full play structure, grassy area, and large selection of outdoor toys. Students visit the gym and outdoor area several times throughout each day.
Meal Time
We take great pride in providing our children with a healthy, well-balanced and nutritional menu which changes daily. We plan our lunch menu a month at a time, keeping it as seasonal as possible. Our onsite chef prepares daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks for each class, making them nutritious and kid-friendly. The Meridian campus also has a large indoor cafeteria where Pre-K and Kindergartners eat together and practice their clean-up skills.
