Renee
Transitional-Kindergarten Teacher

I am the transitional kindergarten teacher here at The Children’s Hour Academy. I have six memory filled years of experience working with children and their families.
I love coming to my home away from home, here at C.H.A daily. There is nothing more rewarding than arriving to my classroom each morning and being greeted by a group of fun loving kids, with hugs, kisses, and silly stories from the evening before.
Walking into our classroom on a typical day, you will hear the sound of contagious laughter, singing, and children modeling words of respect and sincerity. You will also see the children anxious to begin “circle time”, for this is a time of selecting daily helpers and discussing monthly curriculum themes. I pride my teaching style on the ability to be very creative and my God given gift of being extremely attuned to the children. After circle time, the children break up into small independent learning groups. One group may begin using their time putting together a large and somewhat complex interlocking puzzle while the other group is viewing a picture of a vulture on the internet. Whether it be art, science, or reading the kids are excited to participate in age appropriate activities to stimulate their mind, body, and soul.

Consistent and frequent communication on any level is also a big part of my role as your child’s teacher. Not only through one on one conversation but also through: e-mail, conferences, and phone calls. I strive to ensure each parent and each child receives a lot of attention, enthusiasm, and encouragement.

As you can see I love my class and their families as if they were an extension of my own family…
