Robin
Infant
Room Teacher, Co-Director
Hi, my name is Robin and I am the co-director of the Infant/Toddler center as well as the lead teacher in our infant program. I have been with CHA since moving to Oregon from California in the spring of 2001. I have been working with children since I was a junior in high school as an after school aide. From there I went to school and received my 2-year degree in early childhood education. Infants and toddlers have always been my passion. It is such a joy to get to be a part of each child’s lives while they are in our care. I enjoy getting to know each family. My husband and I welcomed our daughter, Emily, in January of 2002 and we are expecting our second child in August of 2005. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. We still make many trips home to California to visit our families.
Jennifer
Infant
Room Teacher, Co-Director
Hi! My name is Jennifer and I am one of the Directors at the Jean Road campus. I have worked for Patty and CHA for a total of 8 years during which I have gotten married and had two beautiful daughters. My education and experience has solely been with infants and toddlers and I have enjoyed every minute of it. Before I became a director, I worked in the classroom as a lead teacher. I have worked with just about every age group at Jean Rd. I love every one of them but my passion is toddlers.
My philosophy is based on autonomy and respect. I believe that every child deserves respect and should be allowed the freedom to express themselves in every area of development. Play is an important part of a child’s development so it is vital that they get the opportunity to do so.
Another important part of my life is my spiritual self. I believe that it is important for every child and staff to know how much God loves them. He has a plan for each and every one of us and I feel it is my purpose to help those plans come to fruition. My hope is that parents, children and staff alike will come to know the saving grace of our Lord through the model of love and kindness that I strive to display on a daily basis.

Hello! My name is Karie and I am a teacher in the infant room. I graduated from Warner Pacific College in 2002 with a Bachelors degree in Human Development. I have been working at the Children’s Hour Academy ever since. I have a passion for infants as well as their families. I have a 4-year-old son, named Blake, who occupies a lot of my time. We enjoy doing a variety of outdoor activities such as going to the zoo or the park. We are also active in church and church activities. I love working at The Children’s Hour Academy and could not imagine a better fit for my life and my son’s life. I look forward to getting to know every family in a more personal way.
Vanessa
Teacher’s Aid
My name is Vanessa, and I have been working at The Children’s Hour since September 2004. Even though I only work 3 days a week as a Teachers Aide after school, I look forward to it everyday. When I am not working or attending Lake Oswego High School you can find me at Lacrosse practice, playing my guitar, or listening to music. Math and Spanish are my favorite subjects in school, and my dream is to study abroad in Spain.
